Goal-setting is one of the most essential lessons a child can be taught. By educating your children on the value of goal-setting, you’ll empower them to always try to achieve their best; consequently, increasing their chances for success in life.
As parents, we must ensure selections are age-appropriate, ask questions before, after and during the book. Encourage your children to play/act out the plot. Bring your books to life and make reading fun for everyone involved.
At Little Sunshine’s Playhouse, we recognize that reading to your child is one of the most effective ways to build the “language” neural connections in their growing brain as well as the strong base for cognitive development. Reading to your children has so many benefits and we encourage you to read with your child every day.
At Little Sunshine’s Playhouse, we recognize these tremendous benefits to children, and we strongly encourage and even expect parents to be involved in their child’s preschool education. One of the ways parents can be involved in their education is by reading to them aloud.
American and world history consist of rich and varied stories. There are so many eras to learn about that the idea of teaching young children about history can seem pretty overwhelming.
As a Reggio Emilia-inspired school, Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool provides an emergent curriculum to children every day, but what is Reggio Emilia? Who does it benefit? When, where, why, and how is it implemented?
Our Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum, Creatively Shine™, consists of fun, engaging monthly themes like “Music and Movement” and “Heart Healthy Lifestyle.” The theme for May is “Gardening and Horticulture.”
