Little Sunshine's Playhouse and Preschool Educational Programs

Each child’s learning and development needs are as unique as they are. At Little Sunshine’s Playhouse & Preschool®, we offer multiple educational programs, providing educational care designed to inspire imagination, spark curiosity, and encourage discovery through play.

Each program is age-appropriate and designed to prepare your children for their educational journeys. We use the Reggio Emilia philosophy in each program and provide engaging, themed classroom activities that ignite a love of learning and exploration in your child.

Babies are curious and develop at a remarkable pace. Along their developmental journey, they achieve many important milestones. Our teachers guide them through their journey to promote exploration of the wondrous world around them.

Classrooms are designed to provide a safe environment so babies can experience the world with all their senses.

Toddlers are constantly on the move and are becoming more independent and verbal. For this age, our early educators provide engaging, hands-on learning opportunities to foster listening skills, problem-solving techniques, and social engagement.

Our toddler classrooms are built for this specific age group, allowing them to explore in their own unique way.

Early preschoolers continue to explore the world around them. Routine and structure are important for this age, so we incorporate both each day.

Each classroom is designed to provide optimal learning for your child. The classrooms are set up with learning centers which include: science, math, manipulative, gross motor, reading, and writing areas.

Preschoolers are more adventurous and curious about their surroundings, and our teachers stay one step ahead of their students. Each day is thoroughly planned out with a variety of hands-on activities to encourage learning and socialization.

In this program, our teachers begin to introduce concepts like opposites, identify emotions and basic directional skills and independence.

Our pre-kindergarten classes focus on kindergarten readiness. Your child’s teacher will work with you and your child to ensure they are socially, emotionally, cognitively, and behaviorally prepared for the demands of a kindergarten classroom.

Our teachers use kindergarten benchmarks and continually assess your child’s development to ensure they start kindergarten with confidence.

Our Proprietary Reggio Emilia-Inspired Curriculum

Creatively Shine®

Our Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum, Creatively Shine®, is based on the latest research and trends to prepare your children for their educational careers, equipping them with cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language skills.

At Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool® we believe a child’s work is play. We teach your children age-appropriate lessons, manners, and social skills all through creative and purposeful play. We believe children who enjoy learning at a young age will carry it with them throughout their lives.

Each month we have original projects, provide each classroom with new materials that reflect the monthly theme and provide related activities to support the individual concepts of the “whole child.”

Little Sunshine’s is like a second home to our little one. I could not be more thankful that she loves going to school every day to see her teachers and friends. It is obvious how much she is learning - she surprised my husband and I by counting to 10 in Spanish all by herself one day!"

Selective Enrollment Process

Enrollment into one of our educational programs is based on pre-determined criteria. During the enrollment process, we provide an onsite tour and host an expectations meeting where we meet and learn about your family and discuss long-term developmental needs and goals for your child.

Depending on your child's age, we may also encourage them to participate in an Exploratory Day to get to know their peers and prepare for the transition to a journey of exploration and fun.

Selective Enrollment Criteria:

  • Partnership in long-term educational goals

  • Aligned belief in LSP core values and educational philosophy

  • Participation in education and LSP community
