Welcome to Little Sunshine's Playhouse & Preschool®

Our preschools offer a safe, secure & nurturing environment through our Distinctive Services and Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum, Creatively Shine®. Everything we do is designed to inspire a love of learning, imagination, and curiosity through play.

Little Sunshine’s is like a second home to our little one. I could not be more thankful that she loves going to school every day to see her teachers and friends. It is obvious how much she is learning - she surprised my husband and I by counting to 10 in Spanish all by herself one day!"

Our Proprietary Reggio Emilia-Inspired Curriculum

Creatively Shine®

Our Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum, Creatively Shine®, is based on the latest research and trends to prepare your children for their educational careers, equipping them with cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language skills.

At Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool® we believe a child’s work is play. We teach your children age-appropriate lessons, manners, and social skills all through creative and purposeful play. We believe children who enjoy learning at a young age will carry it with them throughout their lives.

Each month we have original projects, provide each classroom with new materials that reflect the monthly theme and provide related activities to support the individual concepts of the “whole child.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What curriculum does Little Sunshine’s Playhouse use?

We proudly provide our students with a proprietary, emergent curriculum, Creatively Shine®. Our curriculum is based on the highly acclaimed Reggio Emilia philosophy and includes monthly learning themes that are implemented in each classroom, using engaging, child-led activities and projects.

How do I enroll at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse?

In order to enroll, an enrollment interview is held between the program director and your family. We want to ensure our boutique-style preschool meets your standards and that you feel welcomed into our program. Once a decision is made to enroll, a financial commitment in the form of a deposit is made. This financial commitment places your family on our pre-selected list. The program director will be in close communication with you regarding movement on our pre-selected list.

How do you process tuition payments?

Tuition is drafted from your bank account each month. The ACH payment schedule can be found in the Parent Handbook.

What schedules does your preschool offer?

Little Sunshine’s Playhouse provides care for children ages 6 weeks through Pre-Kindergarten. We are open year-round, offering three schedule options tailored to your family’s unique child care needs.

How do I learn about my child’s development?

Each parent receives a daily LuvNote®. These provide a snapshot about your child’s day and include pictures, videos and quick updates on your child throughout the day.

Additionally, we conduct biannual Parent Teacher Conferences to review and discuss every child’s development. During these conferences, we review your child’s portfolio consisting of classroom observations, developmental markers, a sampling of work and various special moments.
