Welcome to Little Sunshine's Playhouse & Preschool®
Our preschools offer a safe, secure & nurturing environment through our Distinctive Services and Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum, Creatively Shine®. Everything we do is designed to inspire a love of learning, imagination, and curiosity through play.
Little Sunshine’s is like a second home to our little one. I could not be more thankful that she loves going to school every day to see her teachers and friends. It is obvious how much she is learning - she surprised my husband and I by counting to 10 in Spanish all by herself one day!"
What Makes Little Sunshine’s Playhouse & Preschool® so Special?

At Little Sunshine’s Playhouse & Preschool®, we are committed to providing you the highest quality of communication, security, and innovative conveniences through our Distinctive Services so you can take comfort in knowing your child is in the very best care.
Our Proprietary Reggio Emilia-Inspired Curriculum
Our Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum, Creatively Shine®, is based on the latest research and trends to prepare your children for their educational careers, equipping them with cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language skills. At Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool® we believe a child’s work is play. We teach your children age-appropriate lessons, manners, and social skills all through creative and purposeful play. We believe children who enjoy learning at a young age will carry it with them throughout their lives. Each month we have original projects, provide each classroom with new materials that reflect the monthly theme and provide related activities to support the individual concepts of the “whole child.”

New Resources for Parents
Up until now, our series explaining the basics of Reggio Emilia have been focused on children. (Which makes sense.) But there are two very important groups of people who have to be involved for the goals of Reggio Emilia to work: teachers and parents.
After receiving hundreds of nominees throughout the year and a ton of great feedback from families on the Teacher of Year Nominees, we are pleased to announce Ms. Niki as the 2020 LSP National Teacher of the Year.
We love when parents get involved in activities at school and at home with their children, so we have included step-by-step instructions for an activity you can do at home to learn more about dinosaurs with your child(ren).
Thankfully, being helpful and comforting comes naturally to little kids. And while empathy develops over time, by the age of 2, children start trying to comfort others who are obviously upset. By age 4, they can better understand when they’ve hurt someone and apologize. That may seem surprising, but kids are very sensitive to their worlds. They see the importance of kindness, especially if it’s reflected in the lives of those around them.
