Our Granite Bay Leadership Team
Ms. Marci
Program Director
Hello! My name is Marci and I am so excited to be the Program Director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse of Granite Bay.
My entire work experience has been with children. I had the amazing opportunity of being a nanny for 14 years where I worked with several families and helped them raise their children. Once my first son was born I transitioned into preschool teaching with an emphasis in administration.
I started my journey with Little Sunshine’s Playhouse in November of 2017 as a lead toddler teacher. I quickly transitioned to head teacher and then program director. My heart and my passion are with children, giving them a home away from home where they can explore, learn, and grow. My goal is to give our families the comfort and confidence that they can trust us with their precious babies.
I have the most amazing husband and I am a mom of 3 boys. When I am away from Little Sunshine’s you can bet that I am on a sports field cheering on my big boys or chasing my very busy toddler! I love camping, paddle boarding, party planning and my happy place is the beach. Each day is a gift, and I am so thankful for each one.
Ms. Bethany
Assistant Director
Hi, my name is Bethany, and I have been the Assistant Director here at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool of Granite Bay since August of 2020.
Ever since I was a little girl, I have absolutely loved babies, so it is no surprise that I have found myself working with little ones. Not only are children so cute and precious, but I truly adore the things they say and do.
In 2008 I graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a degree in Child Development and Family Studies. In the past, I was a nanny for six and a half years before I transitioned into the preschool setting as a teacher. I worked as a preschool teacher for just over two years before I came to Little Sunshine’s. I was hired on as a Head Teacher in February of 2019, and a year and a half later I was promoted to Assistant Director!
I know that leaving your most beloved little ones in child care is not always the easiest thing to do, but it is our mission to provide your children with the utmost love and care. We want them to have the best preschool experience imaginable, and we want your family to feel 100% at home at our preschool. Rest assured we are here for you, and we are here for your children’s emotional and educational needs. I look forward to meeting and building a relationship with everyone.
Educational Child Care Programs
Infant Program (6 weeks – 1 year)
Our highly trained infant teachers partner with you to ensure your baby’s developmental needs are met every step along the way. Our nursery staff create predictable routines and nurturing classroom environments that foster social and emotional development in your baby.
Our toddler classrooms are designed to encourage purposeful play where our teachers guide your child through age-appropriate learning experiences that prepare them with the knowledge they need to be confident as they grow.
Early Preschool Program (2-3 years)
Your child’s preschool teacher and our classroom create a nurturing, home-like classroom environment where your toddler is treated as a capable individual, whose opinions, actions and thoughts are respected and valued.
We design our preschool classrooms with developmental milestones in mind and equip each classroom with age-appropriate, educational toys to help continue inspiring your preschoolers curiosity and desire to learn and engage with their classmates and their environment.
It is our mission to prepare your child for a successful year in the wonderful world of kindergarten. Our skilled pre-K teachers help build essential skills by carefully crafting engaging activities that balance instructed learning and purposeful play.

What Our Granite Bay Families Are Saying
Amanda
I absolutely LOVE Little Sunshine’s, and believe it’s one of the best decisions we’ve made for our son. We were very nervous about finding a place to take care of our son during the pandemic. We looked at tons of places, interviewed some, and even looked at the state records. During the interview process, we asked a few tough questions. (Yes, we’re those parents.) But at the end of our process, Little Sunshine came through as the most caring, child-focused, and forthright place to take care of our child. Thank you LSP for your care and support.

This facility is wonderful and the teachers and staff are so welcoming. My son joined in the middle of the school year and had a bit of a tough adjustment, but the staff was especially helpful in the transition. I’ve seen such great development since joining the school 5 months ago – they now love going to school, the teachers and their new friends!

We have been sending our kids to LSP since they were 6mo and 3mo old and we have been so happy. The teachers are so dedicated and caring, and even at the height of the pandemic, they find ways to make things fun, special, and personal. One teacher that has forever left an imprint on our little girls’ hearts is Miss Tracey. It is such a treat to see her each morning at drop-off. She knows how to bring a smile to everyone’s face, parents and kids alike!
