Our Leadership Team

Mrs. Karri, Program Director of Little Sunshine's Playhouse and Preschool of The Woodlands, TX

Ms. Karri

Program Director

Hello! My name is Karri and I’m excited to be your Program Director for the Little Sunshine’s Playhouse in The Woodlands. I’ve been in the education industry for more than 27 years and in administration for more than 22 years.  I began my career as a pre-kindergarten teacher, which is when I realized I had a passion for teaching young children and wanted to make it my career. I moved out of the classroom and into administration where I grew professionally and ran several successful preschool programs while raising my son.

I was very excited to find Little Sunshine’s Playhouse as I feel that their Reggio Emilia-inspired approach to learning and quality programs brings an unrivaled distinction in preschool and early childhood education to our area.  I love to be hands-on, and you will often see me visiting in the classrooms. My door is always open to my staff and LSP families. I believe the key to a great school is communication, I would love to tell you all about Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and get to know you and your family.

Mrs. Tracey, Assistant Director of Little Sunshine's Playhouse and Preschool of The Woodlands, TX

Mrs. Tracey

Assistant Director

Howdy!! My name is Tracey and I am honored to be the Assistant Director for Little Sunshine’s Playhouse of The Woodlands. I have been in the early childhood education field for more than 30 years, mainly on the school-aged side of things. I received my CDA from Texas State University and attended Sam Houston State University – teaching children is my passion.

I am very blessed to be part of the LSP Woodlands team. I feel that the learning environment and family friendly atmosphere of our school embodies the spirit of what Early Childhood education should be. I love supporting our teachers and staff, as I feel happy teachers lead to happy kiddos. If you can’t find me in the front office, peek into the classrooms – I really love to snuggle on our sweet babies when I get the chance.

One of the greatest pleasures of my life has been caring for my husband and raising my amazing son, Nick. They bring joy to my life every day and I am truly blessed to have them both in my life.

Perfect place for your child to grow! You're greeted daily with a sincere smile and enjoyable conversation with the leadership staff. Consistently being provided updates on upcoming events and activities for the kids. Another plus is it's always clean! Best part though comes down to the environment that has been created in the classroom. I wanted and expected my twin girls to be safe and treated well. Not only were they safe, but treated like family from the teachers. There was nothing better than my children getting excited on Sunday night because they got to see their teachers the next morning. Thanks for taking the stress of worrying about my children away while I was at work.

Let me start off by saying.. I LOVE THIS PLACE.. My daughter started off in the newborn room and is currently transitioning to the toddler room. The teachers in the infant room are complete rock stars! They are very sweet and caring when it comes to meeting Mackenzie's needs! The Director and Head Teacher are also amazing women and are always willing to listen to any concern you may have. This can be relieving for a first time parent such as myself. Right now in Ashdown Forest I have been getting acquainted to having new teahers and it has been a pretty smooth transition for the most part. They are very sweet women and take great pride in caring for the little ones. The environment here is very welcoming, warm, fun and clean all at the same time! I would suggest coming to check this place out for yourself.

We love LSP! Our daughter started in the infant room at 3 months old. It's obviously one of the hardest things in the world to leave your little one to go work, but we were so thankful for the understanding, caring, and loving team at LSP. From the minute you walk in the door you know your child will be loved in and cared for. We couldn't have asked for a better teacher in the infant room. She is kind and sweet and forms a bond with each child. She even came to our daughters baptism at our church! As your child moves from class to class you wonder if you'll find the same great fit, at LSP you definitely will. Our next teacher was such an amazing caregiver for our sweetie. She's fun, she plans wonderful activities for the babies to learn and to thrive! I can't say enough wonderful things about her. The kids have a blast in their classroom. My daughter still runs around clapping her legs when she sings A, B, C's. And The Preschool teacher takes on a motherly role and treats all of the children as if they are her own. She plans wonderful learning activities, keeps kids active and loves on them all day. We love her immensely! LSP became a family to us when we didn't have family nearby. They opened their doors early to us when we had a medical emergency and needed help with our daughter. This is an amazing team of people that are loving, kind, supportive, and reliable. We miss you all very very much!!!
