What age group do you teach?
Pre-K

What is the name of your classroom?
Neverland

What do you love most about the age group you teach?
I love teaching them new and exciting things every day! This age is so inquisitive, and they love learning new things. The joy on their faces when something exciting or new happens make my heart explode with rainbows! I love how they have their own minds and personalities. Each one of them teaches us something every day. Whether it’s new sayings, new dance moves, or new ways to teach, it’s something every day. I love that my best friends are four and five years old!

What is your favorite curriculum project you’ve ever done in your classroom?
I love teaching our Space Exploration unit! The students get so excited, and we all get to make our own planets and our own solar system.

What do you enjoy most about working for LSP?
I enjoy the camaraderie. We really are a family. Everyone is so understanding and caring at LSP.

What made you want to become an early childhood educator?
When my son was in Pre-K I so enjoyed seeing his face when he would come home and tell me what he learned about that day. His teacher Miss Jennifer made such an impact on him that he still remembers her 12 years later! If I could do that for just one kiddo, I would consider my career a success.

Who and/or what inspires you?
I am inspired by my parents. They raised six kids, and we are all friends with each other as well as siblings. I am also inspired daily by my son, who constantly lives life to the fullest.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work I like to try new recipes out on my son. I like to hang out with family, and my favorite place to go is the zoo and the Garden of the Gods

Tell us one special fact about yourself that no one would expect.
That my Italian heritage likes to come out and make pasta from scratch!
