At Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool® we believe that a child’s work is play. We teach children age-appropriate lessons, manners, and social skills all through creative and purposeful play. We believe that if children enjoy learning at a young age it will carry with them throughout their lives.
Each month we have original projects, provide each classroom with new materials that reflect the monthly theme and provide related activities to support the individual concepts of the “whole child.”
Our Leadership Team
Hi there! My name is Taylor and I am honored to serve as your Area Manager for the San Antonio and Austin metro locations.
My journey with Little Sunshine’s Playhouse began years ago in Springfield, Missouri where our company was founded. I began my LSP journey as a classroom teacher and soon promoted up through the ranks into senior management at our Springfield III location. In 2016 when the opportunity arose to launch the San Antonio market, I jumped on the opportunity and relocated. Since 2016, my little family has made Texas our home and love every minute of it! My role within the company is providing operational guidance to the San Antonio/Austin metros and creating lasting relationships with our students, families and teachers.
On a personal note, my husband and I are always trying to keep up with our busy toddler, Thomas. We absolutely love every moment of parenthood! We enjoy spending time together outside, and love getting away to Port Aransas beach every chance we get.
I am so thrilled to welcome you and your family to LSP and together we will celebrate each child’s journey!
Hello! My name is Judy and I am honored to be a part of the Little Sunshine’s Playhouse Family in the beautiful Lakeway community!
My early childhood experience began in March 2001 as a part-time infant teacher, then as a full-time preschool teacher. Within a year, I was promoted into the leadership team, which included Assistant Director, Curriculum Director, then Executive Director. I have truly loved each of my positions since it has allowed me to learn so much. I love what I do because I have the opportunity to make a difference in children’s lives and build connections with our staff and families. Working in childcare means that the children and staff are an extension of my family.
On a personal note, I am a happy mom of Jonathan and Danielle, who are both in college pursuing their dreams. I am also a fur mom to Hope and Texan.
Hello, my name is Lauren. I feel so blessed to be a part of the Little Sunshine’s family. I knew from a young age that early education was a passion of mine and that I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to teach young children.
Upon returning to Austin, I started at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse as a lead teacher in the toddler classroom. Shortly after, I became the head teacher for the preschool age group and am now the Assistant Director and could not love what I do more. I am truly passionate about our Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum as I believe it’s a successful early education philosophy that offers several benefits to our young learners.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, relaxing with a good book and spending days on the lake with my spouse and our two dogs! My favorite hobby is photography and I take every opportunity I can find to grow my skills.
