July 2022 National Teacher of the Month
The Teacher of the Month award is designed to recognize an employee that exemplifies our core values, which are compassion, humility, integrity, loyalty and discipline. This month we are pleased to announce that our 2022 July National Teacher of the Month is Ms. Cassie of Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool of Rogers.
In talking about how Ms. Cassie exemplifies LSP’s core values, Program Director, Ms. Heather said, “Ms. Cassie has always been someone that we can count on for many things! She provides a beautiful atmosphere for her little ones and communicates perfectly with parents. If you ask anyone to describe Cassie, they will say that she is creative, kind, and nurturing. We are so lucky to have her on our team for the past few years and we are looking forward to the years that are ahead!”
Here is some fun information about her and what makes her such a standout!
What age group do you teach?
Toddlers
What is the name of your classroom?
Neverland
What do you love most about the age group you teach?
I love seeing the awe and wonder on my toddlers’ faces as they experience and explore the world as they know it. They are also so stinking cute!
What is your favorite curriculum project you’ve ever done in your classroom?
I love making family trees every year for All About Me!
What do you enjoy most about working for LSP?
I love that LSP focuses on team players and strives to build those relationships. And being with the children!
What made you want to become an early childhood educator?
To be honest, I was afraid of working with children when I started working at LSP. I had initially joined on with the intent of it being a gap year job- something to keep me busy and give me a little bit of a savings. After my first week though, I realized that I loved being able to nurture and guide my toddlers to becoming their unique and wonderful selves. Now here I am, nearly four years later!
Who and/or what inspires you?
My fellow co-teachers, nature, fun music that I can dance to, and my mother.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I love to bake, sew, spend time with my family, and read!
Tell us one special fact about yourself that no one would expect.
I was the head of production at a local chocolate factory for several years. And yes, I ate a lot of chocolate.
We also want to say congratulations to all the nominees who are listed below. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication!
