Our Granite Bay Leadership Team
Hello! My name is Kirsten, and I am honored to serve as the Program Director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse & Preschool of Granite Bay.
I began my career in early childhood education (ECE) in 1994. I have since earned an associate degree in ECE and hold a Site Supervisor Permit, from the California Department of Education. After becoming a preschool director, I discovered my love for leadership and returned to school to pursue my bachelor’s degree in Human Resources.
I was drawn to the field of ECE because I knew I wanted to do something that would make a difference in the lives of others. What better place to start then in early childhood? I have been blessed with so many opportunities to work with children ages 6 weeks old to 12 years old, during my career. I was so excited to make a difference in their lives, but they’ve blessed my life so much more. I love being a part of each child’s day – watching them discover and the world around them, develop skills to become independent, self-reliant, self-thinkers, in preparation for the journey ahead of them.
I have three adult children and a beautiful grandson that live nearby. I was born in Sacramento and grew up in the Bay Area. I recently moved back to the area so I could be closer to my family. I feel so blessed to have found Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool, my home away from home. I look forward to going to work each day and spending time with the children and my amazing LSP family!
Hi, my name is Bethany, and I am so excited to step into the role of Assistant Director for Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool® of Granite Bay, CA.
Ever since I was a little girl, I have absolutely loved babies, so it is no wonder that I have found myself working with preschoolers. Not only are children so cute and precious, but I truly adore the things they say and do.
In 2008 I graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a degree in Child Development and Family Studies with an emphasis in Infants and Toddlers. In the past I was a career nanny for six and a half years before I transitioned into the preschool setting as a teacher. I worked as a preschool teacher for just over two years before I was led to Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool of Granite Bay. I have loved being in the Head Teacher role at the school, but I am thrilled to be a part of the leadership team now.
I know that leaving your most beloved little ones in childcare is not always the easiest thing to do, but it is our mission to provide your children with the most love and care and want them to have the best preschool experience imaginable. Rest assured we are here for you and your children’s emotional and educational needs. I look forward to meeting and building a relationship with each and every one of you.

What Our Granite Bay Families Are Saying
I absolutely LOVE Little Sunshine’s, and believe it’s one of the best decisions we’ve made for our son. We were very nervous about finding a place to take care of our son during the pandemic. We looked at tons of places, interviewed some, and even looked at the state records. During the interview process, we asked a few tough questions. (Yes, we’re those parents.) But at the end of our process, Little Sunshine came through as the most caring, child-focused, and forthright place to take care of our child. Thank you LSP for your care and support.
This facility is wonderful and the teachers and staff are so welcoming. My son joined in the middle of the school year and had a bit of a tough adjustment, but the staff was especially helpful in the transition. I’ve seen such great development since joining the school 5 months ago – they now love going to school, the teachers and their new friends!
We have been sending our kids to LSP since they were 6mo and 3mo old and we have been so happy. The teachers are so dedicated and caring, and even at the height of the pandemic, they find ways to make things fun, special, and personal. One teacher that has forever left an imprint on our little girls’ hearts is Miss Tracey. It is such a treat to see her each morning at drop-off. She knows how to bring a smile to everyone’s face, parents and kids alike!
