Our Leadership Team

Ms. Sarah
Program Director
Hello! My name is Sarah, and I am your Program Director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse in Franklin, Tennessee. My career with Little Sunshine’s Playhouse began as an early preschool assistant teacher in 2014 at Little Sunshine’s located in University City, Missouri. I quickly fell in love with Little Sunshine’s mission and the wonderful family environment that was created. After spending a year and a half as both an assistant and lead with my wonderful two-year-olds, I was given the opportunity to become a Head Teacher overseeing first the infants and toddlers and then shifting to the older preschool unit. After more than three years with LSP, I showed interest in moving to Franklin to help open another school and was offered the Assistant Director position, which I happily accepted.
I spent a year in that role building relationships with teachers and families and watching LSP Franklin flourish. I am so excited to continue my journey with Little Sunshine’s as the program director in Franklin. It is such an honor to serve our families and be a part of this community.

Ms. Raquel
Co-Assistant director
Hello! My name is Raquel, and I am the Assistant Director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool in Franklin, TN. My journey with LSP began in 2019 when I started as a Lead Infant Teacher, and I have loved every second of it! I was later promoted to a Head Teacher role and offered support to our team and families. I have honestly never experienced a school as magical as LSP, and I have loved every minute of working alongside our team and families!
As a Florida native, my education and previous experience comes from the Sunshine State. I received my Associate of Arts in Elementary Education, as well as a degree in Speech Therapy from the University of Central Florida. I started my career in Early Childhood Education in 2004, and working with young children quickly became a passion of mine. I love having conversations with them, hearing all of the funny things they say, and seeing their imaginations at work! (I have to say it is one of my favorite things in the world.)
Having over a decade of experience in Early Childhood Education, I can not imagine an environment that I could love more than LSP Franklin. I am proud to be a part of such a loving and nurturing team that strives to create a positive learning environment for children in their most important developmental years. I’ve loved my journey thus far with our team and families, and I can’t wait to meet you and your family!

Ms. Christa
Co-Assistant director
Hello! My name is Christa, and I am the Co-Assistant Director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse & Preschool in Franklin, TN. My journey with LSP began in 2018 when I accepted the Program Director position at LSP Lakeway in the Austin, TX area. I enjoyed serving the Lakeway community, teachers, parents, and students in this role. My husband’s job took us to another city in Texas, where, unfortunately, there was not a Little Sunshine’s location. However, I could not stay away from this amazing preschool for long. As a family, we had the opportunity to relocate again to the Tennessee area, where we are close to family. I am thrilled to be part of the LSP community again; especially LSP Franklin!
As a Texas native, my education and experience comes from the Lonestar State. I received a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and hold an elementary teaching certificate. I also hold a master’s degree in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies, and I also have a Principal certificate. My 15 years of experience in public school include teaching PreK, 2nd, and 3rd grade, Instructional Coach, and Assistant Principal. In all my experience, one of my favorite positions was that of an Instructional Coach, because I absolutely love supporting teachers in their instructional practices to improve student learning and the classroom environment. Serving teachers became one of the best parts of my job as the Program Director at LSP Lakeway in the Austin, TX area.
In my spare time, I love to get all of the cuddles my arms can handle with my three young children. I’ve fallen in love with the Franklin community, and I’m so excited to enjoy this wonderful place with my family. I look forward to serving the LSP Franklin community and cannot wait to meet you and your family!

Mr. Lakin
Business Services Manager
Hello, my name is Lakin, and I am the Business Services Manager at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool® in Franklin, Tennessee. I made the move from Missouri to begin my journey with LSP Franklin in March of 2020. I have a degree in Business Administration, and I have several years of experience in a leadership capacity.
Growing up in Lamar, Missouri, I got to experience the small-town atmosphere while being surrounded by such a great family and an amazing community. I love serving and interacting with people, and it’s my passion to lead with a team-oriented and servant mindset. I’ve also always had a soft heart for children, and getting to know the families in Franklin has been such a joy.
When I’m not enjoying time at the school, you’ll find me doing things outdoors, playing recreational sports, and exploring all of the awesome things the Nashville area has to offer.
The LSP Franklin family has become a second family to me, and I’m so excited to have joined this team! I look forward to getting to meet your family.
