Little Sunshine’s Playhouse & Preschool® of Creve Coeur is located on Lindbergh Boulevard, just south of the Olive Boulevard exit.
Our all-inclusive, private preschool program provides educational child care to children ages 6 weeks through pre-kindergarten in Creve Coeur and greater St. Louis communities.
In order to cater to your family’s unique child care needs, we offer a variety of schedule options, which are M-F, MWF and Tues./Thurs. Our monthly tuition rates include: baby food, wipes, breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and extracurricular activities.

Our Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum, Creatively Shine®, is based on the latest research and trends to prepare your children for their educational careers equipping them with cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language skills.
At Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool® we believe that a child’s work is play. We teach children age-appropriate lessons, manners, and social skills all through creative and purposeful play. We believe that if children enjoy learning at a young age it will carry with them throughout their lives!
Each month we have original projects, provide each classroom with new materials that reflect the monthly theme and provide related activities to support the individual concepts of the “whole child.”

Program Director
Hello! I’m Ashley, and I’m thrilled to be the Program Director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool of Creve Coeur. I have a passion for fostering healthy child development and family engagement. I’m excited to build meaningful relationships with my team, the children, and their families!
My academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science, a foundation that has provided me an understanding of child behavior and development. To further enhance my leadership skills and teamwork abilities, I’m currently exploring MBA programs that align with my dedication to ensuring quality program management and effective collaboration.
My professional journey has been a rewarding one, primarily centered around working with children and families. I’ve had the privilege of contributing to the Department of Health and Human Services, where I played a meaningful role in helping children and families improve their lives through evidenced-based initiatives. This experience has provided me with invaluable insights into family dynamics, helping shape my approach to creating nurturing and inclusive learning environments.
My family and I relocated from a small town in Nebraska to Creve Coeur, we’re embracing the vibrant St. Louis region and all it has to offer! I’m eager to connect with the community and contribute to its growth through my role at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool. When I’m not working, you can usually find me on the go to my children’s volleyball, soccer, hockey, basketball practices/games, etc. Our family loves being busy with all their activities, and it brings me great joy to support my children in their interests!

Assistant Director
Hello! My name is Carol, and I am thrilled to be the Assistant Director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool of Creve Coeur. I began my journey with Little Sunshine’s Playhouse in June of 2022 as a head teacher at the Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool of Chesterfield. I am passionate about working with children and love watching them learn and grow from babies taking their first steps to a child who learns how to read.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Literacy from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and have over 15 years of experience in the early childhood education field. I have been an assistant teacher, lead teacher, assistant director, and director at a childcare center. My favorite part about being in childcare is seeing the children light up as they enter the building and see familiar and trusting faces. I love seeing the positive impact that a loving environment and teacher can make. Children learn best through hands-on learning activities, play, collaboration with others, and being surrounded by an environment that is nurturing and fosters their curiosity and imagination. The Reggio Emilia approach does just that and I love learning alongside the children in their everyday discoveries.
On a personal note, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our son. We love exploring the outdoors, discovering new parks and playgrounds, traveling, and cuddling up to a good movie on the weekends. I am so excited to get to know your family and build a lasting relationship with you all.
Educational Child Care Programs
Infant Program (6 weeks – 1 year)
Our highly trained infant teachers partner with you to ensure your baby’s developmental needs are met every step along the way. Our nursery staff create predictable routines and nurturing classroom environments that foster social and emotional development in your baby.
Our toddler classrooms are designed to encourage purposeful play where our teachers guide your child through age-appropriate learning experiences that prepare them with the knowledge they need to be confident as they grow.
Early Preschool Program (2-3 years)
Your child’s preschool teacher and our classroom create a nurturing, home-like classroom environment where your toddler is treated as a capable individual, whose opinions, actions and thoughts are respected and valued.
We design our preschool classrooms with developmental milestones in mind and equip each classroom with age-appropriate, educational toys to help continue inspiring your preschoolers curiosity and desire to learn and engage with their classmates and their environment.
It is our mission to prepare your child for a successful year in the wonderful world of kindergarten. Our skilled pre-K teachers help build essential skills by carefully crafting engaging activities that balance instructed learning and purposeful play.
