Community Helpers: At-Home Activity
Our Creatively Shine Curriculum™ theme this month is “Community Helpers”. Community Helper activities help encourage children to think about and appreciate all of the people in their community who work to keep them safe, healthy, well-fed and educated.
This month, discuss with your child how your family is a form of community and explain how they can be a “community helper”. Assign them a special chore to complete on a regular basis, or work on a home-improvement project together, as is age-appropriate. Contributing to the family in this fashion will enhance your child’s self-esteem and build a sense of pride through achievement.
