Our Leadership Team

Mrs. Sarah
Program Director
Hello! My name is Sarah and I am thrilled to serve you as the program director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool of Chesterfield, MO.
It has been my privilege to work with children of all ages, from infants to school age, along with their families, in multiple capacities throughout the past 14 years. Upon completing my bachelor’s degree, I entered the field of early childhood education as a classroom teacher and loved it. After a few years, I returned to graduate school and in 2016 obtained my master’s degree in counseling, in which I focused heavily upon early childhood mental health and development.
My connection with Little Sunshine’s Playhouse began in May of 2016 at our University City location. My goal was to work with young children and their families, and I was drawn to Little Sunshine’s philosophy, passion, and dedication to nurturing young children and promoting healthy development. I first began as a classroom teacher, then stepped into the leadership role of head teacher, and am now honored to fulfill the position of program director!
On a personal note, I enjoy exploring Saint Louis and everything it has to offer! I am a huge musical theater enthusiast and love seeing live productions throughout the area, especially at The Muny! When not at a show, I enjoy cooking, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my wonderful husband, Kyle.
I am looking forward to getting to know you and your family!

Ms. Amber
Assistant director
Hello! My name is Amber and I am honored to serve as the assistant director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool® of Chesterfield, MO. My passion for early education, Reggio Emilia and building family relationships has brought me to LSP.
My goal as an assistant director is to work alongside our team to maintain a beautiful learning environment. I am thrilled to have the experience of getting to know every child and their family. Fostering family connections and developing an understanding of each family’s individual needs is key in early childhood. Supporting and making connections with our teachers and staff is important to me.
I began my journey in education in 2013 at Webster University where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with an emphasis in psychology. I am currently working on a master’s degree in school counseling with a certificate in psychology of stress. I have experience working as a continuing education specialist and have taught early childhood for 6 years.
On a personal note, I have a 9-year-old son named Ben. He and I enjoy reading together, racing (he is now faster than me) and occasionally playing Mario (also faster than me), hanging out at home with our cat, Kitty and our dog, Lucy. My family and my career are my entire world and I am thrilled to be surrounded by so much love, every day.
I hope to bring as much joy to your families and our team as this career has given me.
