Each month we have original projects, provide each classroom with new materials that reflect the monthly theme and provide related activities to support the individual concepts of the “whole child.”
Our Chesterfield, MO Leadership Team
Ms. Amber
Program Director
Welcome! My name is Amber and I am truly honored to serve as the Program Director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool of Chesterfield. I received a Bachelor’s in Education, with a minor in psychology, at Webster University and have proudly worked in early childhood since 2013. My passion for education, the Reggio Emilia educational philosophy, and building family relationships has led me to my role with Little Sunshine’s Playhouse. I appreciate LSP’s value to sustain a safe, constructive, and nurturing learning environment. Little Sunshine’s Playhouse perfectly balances building leaders while embracing childhood. I am so grateful to be a part of this community.
As director, I value a child-focused learning environment, full of care. A true home away from home! I am honored to serve every child and every family, here at Little Sunshine’s. Children are life’s reminder to appreciate the little things and value our love. Fostering family connections and developing an understanding of each family’s individual needs is central in early childhood. Family is something I value with my whole heart, and I am grateful to care for every family here at Little Sunshine’s.
Furthermore, I am a mother of two children and a stepson! We love movie nights, exploring Saint Louis, and making each day meaningful together. Nature, learning, and people are my favorite parts of life! I strive to grow personally and professionally each day. As Loris Malaguzzi, the founder of Reggio Emilia stated, “A school needs to be a place for all children. Not based on the idea that they are all the same. But that they are all different.”
Ms. Jessica
Assistant Director
Hi families! My name is Jessica, and I am the Assistant Director at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool of Chesterfield. I have been working for Little Sunshine’s for the past seven years. I started off at our sister school in University City. I worked at that location for five years before I moved to Columbia, Missouri for a year and a half. When I heard the Chesterfield location was opening, I knew it was a sign we needed to move back to the Saint Louis area. At LSP Chesterfield I started as the head teacher and then was promoted to assistant director. I have loved getting to know all the families and your children over the past year.
I have been working with children in the preschool setting since 2010. Teaching children has been a passion of mine since I can remember. I love getting to see the excitement on the children’s faces every day, especially if they have been working hard on something and they finally connect all the pieces! It makes everything worth it!
Aside from my career, I love spending time with my family! I have been married since 2013 and have a daughter, Amelia and a son, Gavin. I also enjoy camping, spending time outdoors, going on the occasional Target shopping spree, crafting, going to Cardinals and Blues games, having bonfires, and spending time with my friends.

What Our Chesterfield Families Are Saying
Christopher
Our family has been to multiple child care centers in the area and we can confidently say that Little Sunshine’s of Chesterfield is the overall best school in St Louis. The curriculum is engaging, creative, and thoughtful. The staff is extremely professional, attentive, and caring. The facilities are new and provide a dream world for kids to learn and explore. Our two sons both go here and have been through multiple classrooms in the school and we have only been more and more impressed as each week goes by, watching them grow emotionally and academically. The menu and food prepared for the children are also very healthy and fresh. There is no true way to express with words the feeling I get, as a father, when I hear them say they are excited to go to school and see their teachers during drop-off in the morning. Highly recommend.

LSP has been AMAZING for my daughter, and me! Every aspect, including the teachers of my daughter’s classroom, is amazing, caring, and so thoughtful for the kiddos and the parents. They have made a big impact on my daughter and her behaviors at home, too, which is amazing. She loves school! I am so grateful to the leadership staff for making our drop-offs and pickups and all other questions and everything so easy up front too! We LOVE our LSP school ❤️
