March National Teacher of the Month

The process of choosing just one teacher each month is beyond difficult, but we are pleased to announce that our 2020 March National Ms. Kassidy, Teacher of the Month March 2020Teacher of the Month is Ms. Kassidy of Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool of San Antonio at Stone Oak.

Ms. Kassidy is one of our head teachers and she does a phenomenal job in her leadership skills. She is always willing to lend a hand to our staff and put in extra time when needed to get a task done. She does a little bit of everything from managing classrooms to inspections, to cleaning, and she does it all with a smile on her face. Ms. Kassidy has proven to be committed to LSP and our families. We are so grateful for Ms. Kassidy!

Here is some fun information about her and what makes her such a standout!

What age group do you teach?
All of the groups

What is the name of your classroom?
As Head Teacher, I don’t teach one specific age group but float around the entire school.

What do you love most about the age group you teach?
I don’t teach one specific age group. But what I love most about my position is that I get to love and care for every single child that comes through the door. As well as get to know each individual person and child that comes to LSP. If I had to choose just one thing it would be the look in the kid’s eyes when they get inspired by what they are hearing and learning.

What is your favorite curriculum project you’ve ever done in your classroom?
My favorite project I have ever done in my classroom would have to be the color spaghetti noodles with different big toys hidden inside. I worked with the infants when I first started with LSP and loved doing all things sensory every chance I got!

What do you enjoy most about working for LSP?
What I love most about working for LSP is the friends, better yet family, that I have made while working here. Every day that I come to work the people I work for are always so kind and caring. No matter what is going on in their life they always have a listening ear and a helpful hint. LSP is full of caring and professional people and That is why I care so much and love where I work!

Who and/or what inspires you?
There are a few people who inspire me. My grandad and my little friend Brenden James. My grandad always believed when you don’t give 100% it wasn’t worth it. So, you might as well try your best and give it your all every time, every day all day! My sweet friend Brenden James always had the biggest smile on his face and cared the most about every single person he met! Brenden was a bright and energetic 15 year old who struggled with Desbuquois Syndrome (a rare form of dwarfism) this is very important in my story because even though he was only 26 inches tall he made a HUGE and life changing impact on everyone he came in contact with and that is who and why they inspire me!

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Spending time with my family, I’m very big on family and spending time with them whatever it may be. As long as I’m with the people I love most I’m happy!

Tell us one special fact about yourself that no one would expect.
I actually struggle with social anxiety. I always want people around me to be happy and enjoy being around me but oftentimes I feel like I’m being annoying or frustrating.
